The Gummy Bear Project

A friend of mine found and posted this story on Facebook about a giant gummy bear on a stick. I was laughing so hard while reading it and watching the video, that my 7 year old daughter popped her head over my shoulder to see what all the commotion was. Together we must have watched and laughed at the video a couple more times.

I just had to pass it along...

Pumpkin Carving 101

Yesterday my Daughter and I went out to pick out pumpkins, so we can carve them up for Halloween. Last year, we received as a gift a pumpkin carving set that included tools and stencils, but never had a chance to use them. After a full year of begging to use the kit, we finally broke it out, and let her go to town.

After drawing on the designs, my Daughter carved them out all by herself. We then cleaned up the mess, and roasted the pumpkin seeds to make us a great snack throughout the week.

When done, we saw the coolest pumpkins ever...

On the left is our "Bats Around the Moon" and on the right is our "Black Cat".

Paintings by Ron Zampino

My Dad has been an brilliant artist for years, and I finally got him to start putting his paintings online. Not only does he paint, but he makes the frames too.

A while back I set him up and created for him a great site using Tumblr.  I used a neat gallery type theme for him to present all his painting. So far we have a couple of them up, and are slowly adding additional paintings to it weekly.
