My 2009 New Year's Resolution

This will be the year!!! The year I quit smoking. This is my number one New Year's Resolution.
If you read my earlier blog post on change <Change? Yes I Can>, I made mention of quitting smoking as being a possible little change goal. Since writing that post and doing a lot of thinking on changes to be made, the goal of "quit smoking" kept popping up.
So let it be written, that as of January 1st, 2009, I will be smoke free.
I know I have tried to quit in the past, but in following through with my "Goals of Change" for 2009... Where I have failed in the past, I will succeed in the future.
Do you have a New Year's Resolution?

Excellent idea to post a public declaration of intent that will allow you to walk away from smoking without a backward glance because any other approach would be pointless! Good for you!
I think you can do it! Just take and practice smoking one less cigarette everyday - countdown. Then, as you methodically reduce your smokes, go down to # of puffs!
You can do it! Heck, show Barack Obama who the champ of quitting smoking is!

Thank you all for the comments. My Resolution to quit is going well. I'm now on Day #7 of Not Smoking.
